Andrew Rayner wasted years with journalism and financial stuff behind a London desk before sailing away in Nereus. Born in Devon and educated in England, he has lived in several countries of Asia, Europe and Africa. He raced steeplechasers, rode skeleton and skied internationally before slowing down to sail 50,000 miles and run a marathon. He enjoys people, dogs and horses alike; boats, mountains and the ocean, too, especially the Pacific. Now with his wife Robin he farms palms and fruit in its midst, in a far corner of Hawai’i.
